Foster Bridge offers time-limited child care assistance, one-on-one navigation, and trauma-informed coaching for child care providers. It’s designed to stabilize new placements and connect families to longer-term solutions in Sacramento County.
How Foster Bridge Helps
This program offers more than child care—it’s a helping hand during times of transition. Families receive short-term support, guidance in finding trusted providers, and coaching that builds stability for children and caregivers.
With Foster Bridge, you’ll get immediate child care assistance, personal support in choosing the right care for your child, and guidance to connect with ongoing options.
Families who foster, relatives stepping in to care for children, and some young parents may be able to receive support. Exact eligibility depends on local guidelines.
Ask your child’s social worker for a referral. You can also contact Child Action for child care referrals while your caseworker initiates Bridge steps.
Free trauma-informed care training and coaching help providers support children who’ve experienced trauma.
