Chief Financial Officer

Wanda Williams serves as Chief Financial Officer for Child Action, where she provides strategic financial leadership to support the organization’s mission of expanding access to quality child care and strengthening outcomes for children, families, and early learning providers throughout Sacramento County.

A respected nonprofit finance executive, Williams brings extensive experience leading financial operations, strengthening organizational performance, and advancing long-term sustainability. Prior to joining Child Action, she served in financial leadership roles with the Center for Fathers and Families in Sacramento, where she helped enhance fiscal operations through sound financial management, strategic planning, and operational oversight.

Williams oversees Child Action’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and long-range financial planning. Working closely with the executive leadership team and Board of Directors, she helps ensure the organization maintains strong fiscal stewardship while supporting strategic decision-making and responsible growth.

A graduate of the University of Phoenix–Sacramento Valley Campus, Williams is recognized for combining financial expertise with a collaborative leadership style grounded in transparency, accountability, and service. She believes effective financial management is more than balancing budgets—it is about aligning resources with mission, strengthening organizational resilience, and creating opportunities for innovation and lasting community impact.

Throughout her career, Williams has successfully guided nonprofit organizations through evolving economic conditions, changing regulatory requirements, and complex funding environments.
