Preventative Health and Safety (Part 1) (English)

The 8-hour Preventative Health & Safety training, approved by the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA), will be held live and interactively via Zoom. It includes the 2016 Nutrition and 2020 Lead Poisoning Prevention curriculum updates. This training is required for Family Child Care Home licensing and certain Child Care Center staff.

Prospective Family Child Care Home providers must submit proof of Family Child Care Orientation completion or paid registration when signing up. Registration is required for both Part 1 and Part 2 on consecutive dates. Class sizes are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants must log in using a device with reliable Wi-Fi, a working camera, microphone, and speakers, and remain visible on camera both days. Technical issues on the day of training may require rescheduling. Confirmation, proof of registration, and Zoom links will be sent via email.
