Celebrating Native American Heritage Month
November is Native American Heritage Month—a time to celebrate the stories, traditions, and contributions of Native American and Alaska Native peoples. It’s an opportunity to learn about the first peoples of our region—the Nisenan, Miwok, Maidu, and Patwin Tribes—and the many ways Native culture continues to enrich our lives today.
Learning Through Culture
At Child Action, we believe that when children and families learn about different cultures, they grow with curiosity, compassion, and respect. This month, families can celebrate by reading stories from Native authors, exploring Indigenous art, or attending local cultural events.
“Every time we listen and learn, we help ensure that these traditions, languages, and stories continue to thrive for generations to come.”
Happy Native American Heritage Month—let’s honor the past and celebrate
the future, together.
