Reducing Barriers, Improving Access

Technology plays a critical role in Child Action’s efforts to strengthen the child care system. Through strategic investments in digital tools and infrastructure, the organization is modernizing how families and providers access information, complete required processes, and connect to essential services. 

A cornerstone of this work is a Salesforce-powered platform developed in partnership with Provisio. The system supports parent and provider portals that offer centralized access to eligibility information, program updates, and service resources, making it easier to navigate the child care system.

Transforming Service Delivery

Child Action has transitioned family case management and attendance tracking to paperless workflows, replacing traditional paper-based processes with secure digital solutions. These improvements reduce administrative burden, improve accuracy, and accelerate service delivery

The impact has been significant. Staff report faster change processing, easier document retrieval, improved organization, and greater flexibility for hybrid and remote work. By reducing time spent managing paperwork, staff can focus more on supporting children, families, and child care providers. 

Beyond improving day-to-day operations, Child Action’s digital transformation supports stronger data collection and analysis, helping inform regional strategies and policy discussions aimed at addressing the child care crisis. Combined with the organization’s leadership in bringing together policymakers, business leaders, and community partners, these technology investments are helping build a more accessible, efficient, and sustainable child care system for the future.
