Lee Angela Reid is a Partner at Capitol Advisors and has served as Senior Legislative Advocate since the firm’s founding in 2012, following 23 years in the California State Capitol focused on K–12 education policy. She previously served in the Senate Office of Research, where she analyzed state and federal education issues and advised legislators and staff on K–12 policy, legislation, and emerging education trends.
In that role, Lee Angela served as a key liaison among legislators, the State Board of Education, the California Department of Education, universities, and policy organizations. She is widely recognized for her expertise in education policy, waivers, curriculum, and instructional issues before the State Board of Education. She also served as K–14 Education Consultant to Senator Bruce McPherson, Vice Chair of the Senate Education Committee, from 2001 to 2004, and provided professional development to legislative staff.
Lee Angela earned bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and Spanish from the University of California, Davis.
