Sarah Smernes Edson leads Child Action’s Fund & Business Development Department, where she drives strategic partnerships and fundraising initiatives to diversify revenue and fuel the improvements, innovations, and expansion necessary to better serve our children and community.

Before Child Action, Sarah held roles at First 5 Yolo, eBay, and Capricorn Investment Group, bringing experience spanning fund development, product management, and institutional investing. She holds an M.A. in Teaching from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University. She is a Dare to Lead™ certified leader and serves on the Investment Committee of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation.
