Director of Client and Relationship Engagement

Leslie Taylor serves as the Senior Director of Client and Relationship Engagement at Child Action, where she leads efforts to strengthen access to child care, improve service delivery, support program compliance, and build partnerships for families and child care providers in Sacramento County.

With more than 40 years of service, Leslie has dedicated her career to removing barriers and improving outcomes for vulnerable communities. Before joining Child Action, she served as Deputy Director of the Community Services Division at the California Department of Community Services and Development, overseeing field operations, program development, strategic planning, policy implementation, and resource management. Her experience includes administering federal and state programs, supporting community action agencies, expanding outreach for the California Earned Income Tax Credit, and collaborating with farmworker organizations and national partners.

Leslie is passionate about organizational change, talent development, innovation, and creating collaborative environments where employees can grow and thrive. She has also contributed to national conversations on community services through board service and training.
